Seafood at Turf City ~ November 13, 2008

What are you hungry for? Do you want crab, lobster, eel or frog? Tonight we had Singapore's unofficial national dish, chilli crab. And, of course, it was fantabulous!

Alaskan King Crab also frequents some menus, but to get that sweet, succulent taste the crab has to be alive before it is cooked and you will need an entire table of people to devour it.

Another spectacular meal is frog legs. A local friend said it is one of her favorites and it tastes like chicken, although its tenderness cannot be matched.

We will take her word for it because we haven't had the opportunity to sample it. But when we do, we'll be sure to let you know more about this indulgence.

Our home above the horizon

Here is a little tour of our home in Singapore. It's a lot like living in a hotel with a washer and dryer. And as you can see below, this is how a majority of people live, above the horizon.

Storms fly through on a weekly basis and we get views that storm chasers dream of. During the day the dark, heavy clouds add contrast to the light sky and at night the lighting floods the atmosphere with awesome flashes and cracks of light.

These are just some reasons why it's great to live in Singapore!

1. Southeast Asia is at your fingertips
2. Singapore's modern lifestyle makes it easy to adjust to
3. Food variety
4. Public transportation
5. Great shopping
6. You can go for a run in the middle of the night
7. Maid service
